Aerospace and drone parts from Vietnam
Lightweight machined parts, composite parts and harnesses for commercial drones, ground equipment and aerospace tooling. We match the brief to shops that work to tight weight and tolerance targets, and we check export rules before anything is shared.
Where Vietnam fits today
Vietnam already makes parts for international aerospace supply chains, mostly machined parts, wire harnesses and composite work at a small number of qualified sites. Commercial drones are a newer and faster growing area, with local shops machining frames, motor mounts and gimbal parts.
For flight-critical parts, the qualified base is narrow. For drone structures, ground support equipment and tooling, the choice is wider and lead times are reasonable.
What buyers source here
- Drone frames, arms and motor mounts
- Gimbal and camera mount parts
- Landing gear and payload brackets
- Electronics housings and heat sinks
- Wire harnesses and cable assemblies
- Carbon fiber plates and tubes
- Ground support equipment and tooling
Processes and materials
The usual routes in this sector. Send your drawing if yours is different; we check the fit part by part.
| Process | Typical materials | What to watch |
|---|---|---|
| 5-axis CNC milling | Al 7075, Al 6061, titanium Gr5 | Thin walls and pocketing for weight |
| CNC cutting of composite plate | Carbon fiber, G10/FR4 | Dust control and edge finish |
| Wire harness assembly | Per your spec | Continuity tested, labeled |
| Hard anodizing and chemical film | Aluminum | Per the spec on your drawing |
| Electronics assembly | PCBA and box build | For flight controllers and payloads |
What we check at the factory
On top of our standard audit (registration, machines on the floor, capacity, references), these are the points that matter most in this sector.
Export and data handling
Before a drawing moves, we ask you for the export classification. We check how the shop stores customer files and who can see them.
Weight and tolerance
Thin-wall parts move during machining. We look at the shop's fixturing and past thin-wall work, not only its machine list.
AS9100 claims
If a shop claims AS9100, we verify it with the issuer and check the scope. For drone and tooling work it is often not required, and we say so.
Material certificates
Aerospace alloys with real mill certificates, kept per lot. We check that 7075 is 7075.
Documents that come with the parts
We agree the document list with you before production, so nobody argues about it at shipment.

Aerospace and drones: buyer questions
Something else? Email .
Can you source flight-critical aerospace parts?
Only where a shop holds the right approvals and you accept it after your own audit. Most of our aerospace work is drone structures, tooling, harnesses and ground equipment.
What do you need from us on export rules?
The export classification of the part and its drawings, and the end use. If the part is controlled, we tell you whether we can take the brief at all.
Can a shop make carbon fiber parts?
CNC cutting of carbon plate is common. Layup and autoclave work is available at fewer sites. We check which one your part needs.
