Semiconductor equipment parts from Vietnam
Chambers, plates, frames and fixtures for wafer handling, test and assembly equipment. We find the Vietnamese shops that can hold the flatness, surface finish and cleanliness these parts need, and we check them before you send a drawing.
Why buyers look at Vietnam for this
Semiconductor assembly and test has grown in Vietnam over the last decade, with several international chip companies running plants in the country. Local machine shops that serve those plants have learned the habits the sector expects: clean handling, documented inspection and tight flatness on large plates.
The supply base is still uneven. A few shops work to cleanroom packaging and full traceability. Many more say they do. Our job is to tell the two apart before you commit a tool program to one of them.
What buyers source here
- Vacuum chamber bodies and lids
- Base plates, top plates and tooling plates
- Wafer handling end effectors and fixtures
- Machine frames and weldments for tool modules
- Test handler and burn-in board fixtures
- Gas and fluid manifolds
- Sheet metal covers and enclosures
- Cable and harness sub-assemblies
Processes and materials
The usual routes in this sector. Send your drawing if yours is different; we check the fit part by part.
| Process | Typical materials | What to watch |
|---|---|---|
| 5-axis and 3-axis CNC milling | Al 6061, Al 5083, SUS304, SUS316L | Flatness and parallelism on large plates |
| Precision grinding | Tool steel, stainless | For plates that need flatness beyond milling |
| Welding and stress relief | Stainless, aluminum | Frames and vacuum-side welds |
| Anodizing and electropolishing | Aluminum, stainless | Hard anodize, clear anodize, EP for wetted parts |
| Precision cleaning and packing | All | Ultrasonic cleaning, double bagging |
What we check at the factory
On top of our standard audit (registration, machines on the floor, capacity, references), these are the points that matter most in this sector.
Measurement capacity
A CMM sized for the largest part, calibrated, with someone on the floor who can program it. Flatness claims are checked against real reports.
Cleaning and packing
Where parts are cleaned, what with, and how they are bagged. We look at the room, not a brochure photo.
Material traceability
Mill certificates kept per heat and linked to the job. We ask for an example from a past order.
Outsourced steps
Which finishing is done in house and which is sent out. Anodizing and EP are often subcontracted, so we check the subcontractor too.
Documents that come with the parts
We agree the document list with you before production, so nobody argues about it at shipment.
- Mill certificates per lot
- First article inspection report
- CMM report on critical dimensions
- Finish certificates (anodize, EP)
- Cleaning and packing record

Can Vietnamese shops machine vacuum chamber parts?
Some can. The limiting factors are usually machine travel for large bodies, leak-tight welding and a cleaning process that holds up. We confirm each of these on site before we put a shop on your shortlist.
Do you share our drawings with several shops?
Shops first see a capability brief without your name. Drawings go only to the two or three on your shortlist, under NDA if you ask.
Can the shop work to our own cleanliness spec?
Send the spec with the brief. We check whether the shop can meet it as written and tell you plainly if it cannot.
