Consumer electronics and audio products from Vietnam

Aluminum enclosures, knobs and faceplates, PCB assembly and full box build for hardware brands. Cosmetic quality matters as much as tolerance here, so we check how a factory handles finish, color and packaging, not only dimensions.

An electronics base that keeps growing

Electronics is one of the main export sectors in Vietnam, built up by large phone and component plants in the north and the suppliers that followed them. Brands moving part of their supply to Vietnam have added to that base since.

For smaller hardware brands the useful part is the layer of mid-size CNC shops, molders and assembly houses around those plants. They take smaller runs and can combine a machined case, a PCB and final packing under one roof or close by.

What buyers source here

  • CNC aluminum enclosures and chassis
  • Knobs, faceplates and front panels
  • Mechanical keyboard cases and plates
  • Speaker and amplifier housings
  • Small metal everyday-carry products
  • PCB assembly, SMT and through-hole
  • Box build with testing and retail packing
  • Cable assemblies

What we check at the factory

On top of our standard audit (registration, machines on the floor, capacity, references), these are the points that matter most in this sector.

Cosmetic standard

Whether the factory inspects to a written cosmetic standard with defect classes and viewing distance. If you do not have one, we help you write it.

Anodize color control

Color batches drift. We check whether the shop keeps a master sample and matches each batch against it.

Electronics test

For PCBA and box build: AOI, functional test fixtures and ESD control on the floor.

Component sourcing

Where the factory buys components, how it handles shortages, and that substitutions need your approval.

Documents that come with the parts

We agree the document list with you before production, so nobody argues about it at shipment.

  • Approved golden sample
  • Cosmetic inspection standard
  • First article report
  • Functional test record
  • Bill of materials with approved sources

Consumer electronics and audio: buyer questions

Can one factory do the case, PCB and final assembly?

Sometimes, and sometimes it is better split between a CNC shop and an assembly house. We propose the setup that fits your volume and manage both if it is split.

What volumes make sense?

From a few hundred units for a first run to repeat batches in the thousands. Very small runs may cost more per unit than you expect, and we say so early.

How do you control anodize color between batches?

With an approved master sample kept at the factory and at our side, checked under the same light at each pre-shipment inspection.
